2 - Limitation of Liability and DOA items

Limitation of Liability:



CLH will not be responsible for consequential damage to the system or its components caused by either internal
or external equipment, shorted connections or components not installed or obtained from CLH. CLH will not be liable
for damage to painted surfaces or keyboard keys due to physical abuse, or excessive use, or liquids, or chemicals
spilled upon or inside the components, including oxidation or corrosion to components caused by exposure to salt air.

This limited warranty also does not cover any loss or damage that may occur as a result of:

  • Shipping or improper installation or maintenance

  • Misuse, neglect or improper environment

  • Any repair, modification, adjustment, or installation or options or parts by anyone other than an CLH
    authorized service center

  • Excessive or inadequate electrical power surges, or other irregularities.



  • CLH Highly Recommends All Equipment Be Connected To Credible Surge Suppression or Uninterruptible Power Supplies
    (i.e. Tripplite, APC, or Pannamax suppression equipment that carries equipment insurance). Power equipment not
    properly attached to suppression can void the warranty of equipment purchased.

    Dead On Arrival (DOA) Product:



    CLH will not be responsible for consequential damage to the system or its components caused by damage in shipment if not
    reported to a representative of CLH within 24 hours of receipt of that product. Because of the nature of equipment purchased
    through CLH, being electronic components, and the policies and procedures in place between CLH and the manufacturers, vendors, and
    shipping companies CLH purchases from, it is necessary to receive, inspect, and report any physical damage immediately.

    CLH does not open equipment that was boxed at the manufacturer where it isn't used inside of a computer system CLH builds. For
    products like: Printers, Monitors, Scanners, and Cameras etc... these items are received and then sent back out to our customer. If
    product shows physical damage to the outside of the packaging / box, CLH will not allow receipt of such equipment and it is sent
    back to the manufacturer or vendor for direct replacement. CLH will not knowingly ship product in a damaged box to our customers
    either. The requirements of all shipping companies states that immediate notification of damage in shipping must happen in order
    for any claims to be made, we ask that you do the same.

    Damage can come in many forms, it is possible that visible damage does not mean physical damage has occured to the equipment.
    This is why immediate notification is necessary. When discussing the damage you see, CLH can immediately help with answers or
    start the process if getting that equipment replaced.
